Rebecca's Story

Hi Everyone!
My name is Rebecca, and I am a dietitian with experience working primarily in bariatrics. In college, I decided to follow in my mother’s footsteps and majored in Nutritional Sciences at Oklahoma State University where I graduated summa cum laude in 2002. Fun fact – my mom was a dietitian at NASA for several years, and her department worked with many astronauts, including Neil Armstrong, Edwin “Buzz” Aldrin, and Michael Collins, the crew of Apollo 11.
While my mother influenced my career path, the health issues my grandparents experienced largely shaped my approach to patients; my grandmother had Type II Diabetes and both of my grandfathers suffered heart attacks at early ages. My desire has always been to provide the tools and education to empower patients to achieve their nutritional health goals in an effort to enrich their lives, no matter where they are on their journey. I’ve loved my years working in bariatrics, and I also enjoyed working as an RD in a hospital transplant unit as well as for a non-profit women’s clinic caring for pre- and post-natal women, and their children.
